Valentine’s Week

February 9 - 14

Regular Hours

Art Studio: Everyone needs to make Valentine’s Day cards! All week, create Valentines for friends and family, using tissue, lace, ribbons, and glitter!

Ages: 0-5, but all ages welcome!

A FREE Adult Guest Pass for a future visit will be given to any family that donates a package of Valentine-making art supplies to share.

Lunar New Year Celebration 2018
"Year of the Dog"

Saturday, Feb. 17

9:30am – 4:30pm

Art Studio: Create your very own, adorable paper dog puppet, and practice black ink calligraphy.

Museum: Bring fullness and good fortune in the coming year by sampling some round (tangerines/oranges) and “golden” fruit (dried Asian fruit delicacies)!

Ages: 0-5, but all ages welcome!

Black History Month Celebration

All month, plus a special celebration event on Sunday, Feb. 25, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Live music from 12pm - 1pm

Art Studio:Create collages in the style of Faith RInggold, and Kara Walker.

Museum:All month, enjoy our wall display of famous African American/Black men and women who have contributed to our rich culture, science and civic life.On the 25th, Guy Gash and his Sharp 5 jazz band will perform live from 12 - 1pm. Listen to the recorded strains of 20th century jazz throughout the day. Children will explore the inspiring inventions made by African Americans, like the traffic light and ice cream scoop at the Interactive Inventors Table.

Ages: 0-5, but all ages welcome!
